1. Check in on-line and arrive early at the airport to allocate extra time for new safety procedures
2. Wear face masks or facial coverings at all times – at the airport and throughout the flight
3. Physical Distancing is strictly observed whenever queueing in line or while seated at waiting areas at the airport

'New Normal, Same Heart' Service


The Philippine flag carrier is one of the first in the world to require the cabin crew to wear full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while on board the flight. PAL’s cabin crew will also undergo medical evaluation prior to their duty.

For the passengers comfort, in-flight meals and snack services were modified by using sealed packaging instead of traditional meal arrangements. 

On top of these, PAL also offers Onboard Distancing Seat Options in Business Class, Premium Economy, and a designated zone of the Economy Class cabin for passengers who wish to be extra safe when they fly.
 
All PAL aircraft are equipped with advanced cabin air systems that continuously infuse fresh air across the cabin (cabin air is replaced every 2 to 3 minutes), as well as High-Efficiency Particulate Air filters (or HEPA filters) that remove viruses, bacteria and other contaminants with 99.99% efficiency. The onboard air creates a controlled and cleaner environment comparable to hospital operating rooms that is safer than most enclosed public spaces.

The flag carrier has partially resumed regular commercial flights to various domestic destinations and key international cities in the US, Asia, Europe, Australia, the Middle East and Canada.

PAL has also been operating special missions to repatriate stranded Filipinos and foreign nationals to and from different parts of the world, as well as all-cargo services to transport essential supplies across the Philippines and overseas.

TRAVELING. Nothing quite like seeing a new place for the first time or returning to somewhere you call your favorite place. People of all ages travel to several places for many different reasons – work, to spend quality time with family or for leisure.
 
There are other perks of traveling that many people oftentimes overlook. Whether by plane, train, ship or private cars, traveling is generally a pleasurable adventure especially when you are going to have a bus ride.

Rural Transit Mindanao, Inc. is owned and operated by the Vallacar Transit Incorporated of the YANSON Group of Companies. The company comprises of Vallacar Transit Corporation (operator of Ceres Liner, est. 1968), Rural Transit Mindanao Incorporated (RTMI; operator of Rural Transit/Rural Tours, est. 1985) and Bachelor Express Incorporated (BEI; operator

Starting its roots in 1968 as the family business of Mr. Ricardo Yanson and his wife Olivia Villaflores Yanson. They started with one jeepney unit and evolving to a jeepney assembly business. In the 1970's, there was a large influx of Ford Fiera's in the market. The jeepney assembly became a small bus line plying the Bacolod City - Valladolid - La Carlota (VALLACAR) route named the CERES LINER.

In 1981 they ventured into Mindanao, buying out Cagayan de Oro based bus companies Fortune Express and Bachelor Express in 1985. Fortune Express changed its name to Rural Transit Mindanao Incorporated while Bachelor Express retained its name as part of the contract conditions. In 2005 they bought out Lilian Express Incorporated and Mary May Express. They pioneered travel through the Western Nautical Highway in 2007.

Kinglong, a China-based bus manufacturing company. The XMQ6128AYW buses are one of Kinglong's top of the line models, and is furnished with BUSPAD's Portable Tablets, Earphone Jacks, USB Ports for gadgets charging, Comfortable seats, Retractable mini trays with cup holder, spacious leg room, a Wifi, and Portable Comfort Rooms.

Unfortunately, I haven't got the chance to take a photo of the newest RTMI Bus as a whole. The experience I felt upon entering the bus was amusing and surprisingly unusual. It's very impressive that it seems like I am going to travel by bus in abroad. If I am to compare something, probably I felt like leaving on an airplane.

 


To be very honest, there are lots of new things this bus offers.

These buses will be in service anytime this week.

Huawei joins Kadayawan festivities through Behind Portait Photography Workshop
After successfully holding mobile phone photography workshops for media and consumers in Manila and Cebu, Huawei paced up modern portrait photography in Davao City last August 19, 2017.

I was very thrilled to be part of the event as Huawei introduced the new Huawei P10 and P10 Plus through

Distinguished street and human photographer and Huawei ambassador Larry Monserate Piojo facilitated the session and imparted his knowledge on the fundamentals of photography, the significance of tools used and the artistry of portraiture.
 
Huawei ambassador Larry Monserate Piojo facilitated the workshop exclusively for users of Huawei mobile devices.
The participants were given the chance to try out the new Huawei P10 in the flesh and attested to its superior image quality courtesy of its Leica co-engineered dual camera.

To top these off, one participant went home with his own Huawei P10. That was amazing!

The P10 is Huawei's latest high-end smartphone in a more compact form factor compared to the company's Mate 9 phablet. A 5.1" Full-HD display with very thin bezels allows for a design that easily fits into even small pockets. On the inside, top-end compone

The Leica-branded camera comes with the same specification as its equivalent in the Mate 9 and combines a 12MP color sensor with a 20MP monochrome chip. Both lenses have an F2.2 aperture and the color variant also features optical image stabilization. As before, color and monochrome image information are combined for better image detail, higher dynamic range and lower noise levels. The only image with Monochromatic Bokeh Effect I took during the activity part of the workshop.

Overall, the workshop was very interactive and I learned a lot from Sir Larry. Also, thanks to Ms. Corinne Bacani, Huawei PH Marketing Director for inviting us.

Truly, Huawei P10 is a selflessly designed smartphone and it's one of the commendable upshots I’ve seen lately. The Mate users should probably look elsewhere. And, of course, to everyone else - the P10 is everything Huawei claims to be - beautiful device, capable of both performance and photography.
