Cebu Pacific wins Best Airline at the 2025 Routes Asia Awards | #BenchPaylaBlog

Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB), the Philippines' top carrier, has been crowned Best Airline at the 2025 Routes Asia Awards, marking its second consecutive victory at the premier regional event.


The Routes Asia Awards recognize airlines, airports, and tourism authorities' exceptional contributions to route development and tourism growth in Asia-Pacific. CEB's back-to-back wins demonstrate the effectiveness of its network development and strategic collaborations over the last year.

“This recognition reflects the strength of our network strategy and, more importantly, the partnerships we’ve built with our airport partners and stakeholders. It’s a meaningful reminder of our commitment to accessible air travel and expanding our presence across key regional markets,” said Xander Lao, CEB President and Chief Commercial Officer.



In 2024, the airline added 28 new routes, 19 local and 9 international, linking travelers to popular locations including as Chiang Mai, Kaohsiung, and Sapporo. In addition to its core hubs in Manila, Cebu, and Clark, new hubs in Davao and Iloilo have been constructed, improving connectivity.

As one of the leading airline carriers in the Philippines, Cebu Pacific has played a pivotal role in making Davao more accessible to both local and international travelers, significantly boosting the region’s economic and tourism landscape,” said Tanya Rabat-Tan, Regional Director of the Department of Tourism XI. 


CEB's unprecedented purchase order of 152 Airbus aircraft, the largest in Philippine aviation history, adds to its network growth. This strategic investment is part of the airline's long-term strategy to update its fleet and fulfill growing demand for air travel.


The airline also boosted its tourist efforts by launching the "Fly to Happy, Fly to the Philippines!" campaign." program, aiming at luring more tourists to the country's natural wonders and cultural experiences.


CEB currently provides flights to 37 domestic and 26 international locations in Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.
